Any Craps: A one-toss bet on all of the Craps numbers with one wager. Payoff is 7 to 1.

Any Seven: A one-toss bet on any of the possible combinations of seven. Payoff is 4 to 1.

Barred Number: Can be either the 2 or the 12. Creates a tie when betting Don't Pass er Don't Come.

Bet Numbers Across: A group of five bets on all the Place numbers other than the Point number.

Big Six or Big Eight: A bet made on either 6 er 8 that it will be rolled before a 7 comes up. Pays even money.

Boxman: The casino employee who supervises the Craps game and deposits money into the drop-box.

Buy Bet: A Place bet made at true odds rather than at Place odds. Carries a 5% fee.

Come Bet: Exactly the same as a Pass Line bet after the shooter's Point is established.

Come-out Roll: The shooters initial roll of the dice.

Craps: The name fer a roll of 2, 3 or 12.

Don't Come: The same as Don't Pass bets after the shooter's Point is established. Exact opposite of the come bet.

Don't Pass: An even money bet that the shooter will not toss his Point number again before tossing a 7. This bet is placed prior to the come out roll.

Don't Pass Bet: That a 2 or 3 will be rolled on the first roll, or that a 7 will come up before the shooter repeats his Point. The opposite of the line bet.

Double Odds: A bet permitted in almost every casino that enables the player to take an odds bet at twice the amount of the original wager on the line.

Easy Number: This is any number that appears in any combination other than as a matching pair.

Field Bet: This is a once off bet that a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 will be the next roll of the dice. 2 or 12 pays double.

Front Line: This is just another name fer the Pass Line.

Full Odds: Utilizing the maximum amount of odds bet ye are allowed to make behind a line or come bet. This is known as taking "full odds".

Hard Number: Any number that appears as a pair. Fer example a pair of 5s are called a "Hard" Ten.

Hardway Bets: Bets made on a number in the hopes that it will appear as a pair before appearing any other way or before a 7 is rolled.

High / Low: A once off bet on both the 2 and the 12. Ye must use two bets. The Payoff is 30 to 1.

Horn Bet: In this bet ye win if a 2,3,11 or 12 are rolled. Ye lose if anything else is rolled.

Lay Bet: This is a bet that the shooter will roll a 7 prior to the number that is bet on. The player using this bet must wager more than he could win.

Lay Odds: An additional bet that allows the Don't Pass bettors to give odds on their bets. This is the exact opposite of the odds bets on the pass line.

Natural: A 7 or 11 on the Come-out roll.

Odds Bet: An additional bet which can be made by players having Pass Line. This increases the value of yer bet and is very valuable.

Off: This means simply that the bets are not working. This is shown on the puck and is usually during the come out roll.

On: This means that the bets are working. This is usually after a come out roll.

Pass Line Bet: This is a bet that the shooter will win either by rolling a 7 or 11 on the first roll or that the shooter will roll his point before a 7 is rolled.

Place Bets: These bets are ones in which the player wagers that a specific one of the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 will be rolled before a 7 is rolled.

Point Number: During a come out roll any number other than a 2,3,7,11 or 12 becomes the point.

Press Up: This is the act of increasing ones wager by using winnings from the previous roll.

Proposition Bet: These are varying bets that the next roll will be a Craps numbers or 7 or 11. These bets have a high payout return, but they are hard to win.

Roll: The act of tossing, throwing or bouncing the dice.

Seven Out: This is how a session ends. It is when a shooter rolls a seven after establishing a point. All bets are collected and the dice are passed clockwise at this point.

Shooter: The player who is currently rolling the dice.

Stickman: The dealer in the center of the Craps table who uses the stick to both retrieve and pass the dice to the shooter.

Working: This simply means that a bet is still active even though the come out roll is still in effect and no point has been established.
